In response to an earlier comment, teachers are not underpaid. Most teachers in the area make well over 50,000 per year for working a part-time job. Besides all of the time off in the winter, they have so many days off during the school year. There is now a winter break prior to a week off for spring break. With service hours, lunch, and other reasons the average teacher is only in front of their students 3-4 hours per day. There is hardly any work that needs to be done outside of class.

As someone who is currently working on their education degree to become a teacher, all I can say to that is...

O RLY?

There is just so much wrong with that comment it makes my head explode.
