stubby kitties --> miniwank
Cute Overload, in addition to being full of cute animals, is often also full of wank. Most posts contain at least one accusation of animal cruelty, and this one, about a Scottish Fold cat with exceptionally stubby legs, is no exception.

Comments about animal breeding begin on the very first comment and only continue down the thread.

Adopt a shelter cat!

This sucks. Animal-cruelty is what it is.

CAPSLOCK OF EMPHASIS!

None of us would advocate breaking puppies' legs just because they can look really cute in casts.

I don't know about you, but I plan to go break some puppy legs later this afternoon!

Oh God, the amount of cr*p I got for choosing to buy a ragdoll kitten, instead of one from a shelter. It's like 'shuddup' I like ragdolls, I like their appearance, I like that they are cuddly, I like that they have pretty blue eyes, I like their temperment.

And I'm the one whose going to feed it, and care for it, and clean out it's litter for the next 15-18 years, so I think I have a right to choose what pet I want. I'm getting a cat which I'm going to be responsible for. He's not going to be let out to kill feral animals, he's not going to be neglected. I'm taking responsibility here, getting a kitten from a reputable breeder, whose cats are horribly spoiled and cared for. This whole mentality of 'if you're not adopting a sheltered animal, you're contributing to the evils of animal neglect' is dumb…and stupid, so there!

A few days late, but I'm going to give you a standing ovation.
