stubby kitties --> miniwank
Cute Overload, in addition to being full of cute animals, is often also full of wank. Most posts contain at least one accusation of animal cruelty, and this one, about a Scottish Fold cat with exceptionally stubby legs, is no exception.

Comments about animal breeding begin on the very first comment and only continue down the thread.

Adopt a shelter cat!

This sucks. Animal-cruelty is what it is.

CAPSLOCK OF EMPHASIS!

None of us would advocate breaking puppies' legs just because they can look really cute in casts.

I don't know about you, but I plan to go break some puppy legs later this afternoon!

And even if a cat's deaf, that does not automatically = suffering. I used to have an albino male shorthair who was deaf. (Genetic defect from the albinism) The only suffering he had in his life was when he was 13 and suffered from compounded medical problems due to said albinism.

Not only that, but the fact that he was deaf made things...interesting at times. My mother could actually vacuum him with an attachment (which he actually enjoyed) because he couldn't hear the noise. He was a very silly boy. (I still miss him, even after all these years)

I had a deaf, somewhat retarded cat. Her only real malfunction was walking backwards which likely has nothing at all to do with her deafness and more with the fact that she was a total shortbus cat.

I am glad to hear that there was another vacuum loving cat out there, though. She loved it, both for the fact that the other cats freaked out and that she assumed it was her big rumbly toy of awesome.
