With notes by [info]queencallipygos: Sexuality wank on Metaquotes. The day clearly has a Y in it
So Metaquotes exploded again. With classics like "I'm sorry that you don't find my humour funny", a few cries of "douchebag", and a whole lot of comments about whose parents are/n't gay/bi. Fun for all the family!

EDIT: Thanks.

OP, in a thread about the heartbreak of psoriasis (I'm not making that up), says something mildly amusing about how psoriasis is tough enough, but it could be worse, she could have been straight.

Someone else riffs on a doctor diagnosing heterosexuality, and that gets metaquoted. General hijinks ensue, and [info]shaysdays has a bad day, which she rectifies by starting a macro war.

And [info]queencallipygos introduces the fantastic concept of diplomacy via unrelated British Music Hall song interludes.

Oh, and if you want to hear the tune as well -- I first heard "Any Old Iron" on a live album released by the Chieftains, being sung by Roger Daltrey. Odd, but fun. (I think the same album has an Irish folk arrangement of "Behind Blue Eyes.")

Oh I have heard many, many renditions of said song. ;) We sang it in primary school once.

Huh. We usually ended up singing Billy Joel songs from the current top 40, reading along to mimeographed sheets of lyrics (which were incorrect, because the music teacher had "learned the lyrics" through the "listen over and over and type what you think you hear" method). Hence my singing "bold Brahma baby" instead of "Beau Brummel, baby" in "Still Rock'n'Roll to me".

No fair! We never got to sing Top 40 hits. We got Music Hall songs and hymns and that was it. :(

I first heard it on The Muppet Show DVDs. I think it's Fozzie singing it? That was a bit odd for me.

It was Kermit, Fozzie, and two Fraggle-esque critters.

I believe it's included on the season 2 DVD.

But I'm not actually here so you can't trust anything I say.
