While the original OSBP write-up and response are utterly, utterly skeevie as fuck, at least two good things have come out of this:

a) The Open Source Women Back Each Other Up Program which is delightfully kickass and proactive.

b) While telling this story to my very traditional, very redneck 52 year old father, he laughed his ass off and sided with the outraged ladies. If my dad, handlebar mustache and all, can identify the issues with walking up to a strange woman and asking to grope her rack, then so can other dudes.
