*eyeroll* I saw this. I lol'd. But I lol'd at all the people getting their knickers in a twist, not at the people who seemed to have had the fun at that con.
Maybe it's because I did RenFaire for nearly a decade and had a number of had-to-be-there kind of things happen. You can never explain that sort of thing to folks who weren't there. It always sounds stupid, or weird, or offensive, or just plain WHUH?? That's one of the big problems with blogging and journals - a lot of people just don't know when to blog about something that happened and when to STFU and keep it between the people involved. Here's hoping this guy has now learned the difference.
