My Bucket is Copyrighted
There's an LJ community, [info]gothic_babes, for fashion/modelling/photography/camwhoring. A recent post was made in which the OP generally looks for constructive criticism about her modelling. Comments are fairly tame. Someone, apparently, makes a less-than-constructivecomment about the OP's weight, and is banned. The OP reacts quite graciously and doesn't let it ruffle her feathers.

Meanwhile, the now-banned commenter feels the need to vent. The response, initially, is mainly, "GTFO and stop failing."

That is, until the OP from gothic_babes appears and, in a sudden feather ruffling, feels the need to educate the community about copyright.

The community makes varying attempts at reason. The OP is not interested.

Wow, everyone's made of fail.

If you equate "you look like a walrus in that picture" with "you're an ugly, fat, sea cow and nobody loves you", then the problem is, indeed, yours.

Walruses (Walri? WTF is the plural of walrus, anyway?) aren't ugly. They're walruses. They look how they look because of what they are.

You made the connection. Not us.

Um...no, I think that's a logical conclusion to draw from pretty much anyone.

And as for the pictures, those aren't what I'd consider modeling. That's what I'd consider wearing a semi-fancy dress and taking pictures. They're not the same thing. And they're not what I'd consider goth either.

They're seriously trying to say "You look like a walrus" isn't an insult? Wow. What did they mean then? "You live on an ice floe?"

Not according to Glass Onion!

I told you 'bout the walrus and me, man
You know that we're as close as can be, man
Well here's another clue for you all:
The walrus was Paul....

He was according to Ferris Bueller:
"I quote John Lennon: 'I don't believe in Beatles — I just believe in me'. A good point there. After all, he was the Walrus. I could be the Walrus - I'd still have to bum rides off of people."

I seem to remember playing an old, old Mac game called Manhole, and there was a walrus in a writing desk.

How is a walrus like a writing desk? (I guess that's what they're getting at, or maybe I'm just confused.)

OT: I never had a Mac, but I do remember the original Castle Wolfenstein. The original, original Castle Wolfenstein with the clicking sound effects. No one ever knows what I'm talking about because it ran on the Apple II I believe.

I didn't play games like that. I had Manhole (which didn't work, so you couldn't actually finish the game) and Lemmings. And, oh, Hangman, some kind of 'find your way to the end of the map' puzzle game, stuff like that. I think my love of puzzle games came early. XD;

You couldn't actually finish the game? That fits right in with having a walrus in a writing desk.

I think if you finished Castle Wolfenstein you defeated Hitler, but I'm not sure. The only reason I really remember is that someone much younger than I am was saying "I ever remember that ancient game Castle Wolfenstein" and I was very confused because apparently he remembered a not-as-ancient later version on another platform.
