I am lazy, and therefore didn't read much of the crazy tl;dr, but I have to admit I actually did that once in high school, during a softball game I was pitching. And it was entirely by accident; I thought the catcher was looking and threw home, turns out the catcher wasn't and my throw ended up in the umpires gut.... (And he totally deserved it.) Not sure if this one was intentional, but I can attest that it is possible to accidentally throw the ball at the ump. (Also, really fucking funny when the ump is a total dick.)
