Best Letter Ever
Over on the blog That Canadian Girl, a post appears about a friend of the blogger who recently drained a pond behind his new house and found a very odd letter. Many commenters find the humor in this, but then of course, there are those who find something to argue about. You'll find cries of "omg you destroyed the pond" and "shut up, it was for the children!" And of course, "your spelling sux!" Enjoy!

For the frakking children! must keep the children safe!

sheltered little beasties won’t know what to do when adversity comes.

Yeah, don't you hate it how everything has to be kept "childsafe" these days? It should be the parents' responsibility to OH WAIT.

Ugh... What I hate is how playgrounds are no fun anymore because they took out anything that someone over the age of three could possibly enjoy so that the parents (or teachers, if we're talking school) wouldn't have to OMGSUPERVISE!!1one.

I mean, okay, I'm a little big for them now anyway but it's the fond memories of when slides were still allowed to be tall and they hadn't taken the jungle gym out of the elementary school playground yet.

ETA: And I don't necessarily mean "supervise" as in "hover two inches behind like a hawk". I mean be there to respond if... Oh, I can't put this in a way that someone couldn't wank about. ^^;; and it doesn't necessarily have to be parents/teachers if you've got relatives, or a babysitter, or at least a teenage sibling (although perhaps not one like my sister)...

yeah I'm going to shut up now.

I usually sit nearby and play the uke or read a book. I figure they'll scream if they need me.

..you play the ukelele? Is it easy to learn? I really like the idea of being able to play an instrument that small and cute...

It is insanely easy to learn, especially if you play guitar at all.

Here's me after three days:

My poor corrupted brain; my first thought was, "in front of the children? Wow."
