Best Letter Ever
Over on the blog That Canadian Girl, a post appears about a friend of the blogger who recently drained a pond behind his new house and found a very odd letter. Many commenters find the humor in this, but then of course, there are those who find something to argue about. You'll find cries of "omg you destroyed the pond" and "shut up, it was for the children!" And of course, "your spelling sux!" Enjoy!

Oh you vile, vile tempter/ess! My brain is writing it despite all commands to the contrary, and it's gone from "This terrible porn ruined my dog, and raped my truck, and stole my wife!" to "IT TURNED ME INTO A NEWT!"

That would be a fun group prank sometime. Everyone goes to library and inserts at least one letter into a book.

Particularly if they're all spread out and it hits public libraries like an epidemic.

So... we could set a date for that, right?

My birthday is next week and this is just the kind of prankish chaos I love.

Tempter I'm a guy.

I've been thinking about it ever since I noticed the local library carries every Anne Rice & Laurel K Hamilton book but somehow any book with gay characters or themes seems to never make it to the shelf.

Um, Anne Rice books aren't gay themed? o.O I'm interrogating them from the wrong perspective, perhaps.

I should have phrased that better and I neglected to make a distinction.

That should have said most of Anne Rice's early books. The Library does have some books with gay themes (such as early Rice works) but after a certain point (about 2004 or so) no new books with gay themes have shown up.

Also if any book with such themes goes missing it will never be replaced but if the latest Harlequin romance goes missing then there'll be a new copy on the shelves in a few weeks.
