Except that the grammar nazi is wrong - 'whinge' isn't a variant spelling of 'whine', it's a different word. Australians use both, with slightly different connotations. (When I was kid dogs whined and children whinged, unless the children were actually using a whiny tone. "But muuuuuuuuum" = whine. "BUT YOU SAID WE COULD GET ICECREAM DAD ALWAYS GETS ME ICECREAM I HATE YOU!"=whinge.)

I still mentally pronounce it as ryhming with the word binging when I read it

Just remember, it rhymes with minge. ;)

People who can't stand having anything picked up by spell check must have some very limited, boring comments, or maybe that's just me and my wacky non-US English. I guess I'm just used to it hating on at least one or two words most times I post.

But the words it suggests as replacements can be so hilarious. Firefox thinks I probably meant to call someone a 'leasehold' rather than an 'arsehole'. (It would also prefer to be called 'Firebox'.)

	I love spellcheck. Ever since I copied an oft-disappearing fanfic into a word document. I ran the spellcheck to catch any typos, and in the process, managed to change every instance of the name "Esiban" to "Lesbian". (Firefox would prefer Esiban to be called "Citibank", and wants to change "fanfic" into "Stanfield".) (Reply to this)(Parent)
