If fandom had a radio station.
A little over two years ago, Calgary gained a new radio station, calling itself "X92.9: Calgary's New Rock Alternative". They mostly play alt-rock, new rock, grunge and the like.

But no one here cares about that. You care about wank, and this one's got it all. Astral (?) Marriages, Sockpuppets, Stalking, Look At Me Not Caring and Threats Against Other Women. All live and on air.

Josh Holliday is one of the DJs on X92.9. Starting in May of last year, Josh began recieving phone calls from a most unusual woman. A big fan.

A big fan. With Issues.

She phones frequently, and Josh airs these calls, which has not stopped the stalker in the slightest. She had tried a number of times to get Josh to go on dates with her.

Her name is not known. She describes herself as looking like Gene Wilder. All is fairly innocuous, but in November things take a turn for the strange.

Josh heads out to Vegas for the weekend, I believe as a part of a station promotion. The stalker goes to Vegas too, but doesn't seem to meet up with him. She returns from Vegas and tells Josh that her vacation was lonely and sort of boring.

And then the truth comes out (MP3). Turns out the Stalker got MARRIED in Vegas.

A month goes by with no calls and in December she starts to phone again. So, apparently, does her estranged husband, to threaten Josh (this call is not available online, sadly).

Then on January 23rd, the stalker calls to tell Josh that she's not going to be able to call any more.

On January 25th, a guy, Charly, calls the station to tell Josh how great the stalker is and how he should give her a chance. Turns out, Charly is the stalker's biggest fan. She's wonderful, you hear? Wonderful.

Except that Charly sounds a LOT like the stalker. Josh points this out and Charly brushes it off, stating that he only sounds a little like her because she's so wonderful he wants to emulate her.

Charly, who also occassionally calls himself Chuck, continues to call the station for over a month, before deciding that he's had enough of Josh and he rides off into the sunset on February 21st.

On February 29th, the stalker's calls resume, only this time with a more sinister overtone. The stalker has become jealous of Candice, who works at the station with Josh. She calls from "home", claiming to be enjoying time with two men right at that moment. She puts one of them on the phone. Hilarity ensues. The stalker is actually calling from a Starbucks, where she gets into an EPIC argument with the manager of the coffee shop.

Then she starts to threaten Candice before finally hanging up. Listen!
