I'll just sit here wondering about what's wrong about pouring espressos over ice (most popular summer coffee in my country). I'd give this barista a heart attack, since I always ask for an espresso with milk, then add sugar to it, and then pour it hot in a glass with ice.
As far as non-Spaniards definitely not getting espressos with ice, the winner definitely was the French restaurant that served my mum an espresso with one ice cube floating in it. I admit that my broken French might have been at fault too, but I'd love to know what they were thinking when they did that.
