Entry tags:defensiveness ahoy, magic 8 ball sez: wank again later, miss cleo told me i'm special, not enough wtf in the world, small but tasty, taking shit too seriously, useless facts

I know it because of my psychic learnings
Over in the little_details community, chibiyaoichan asks if twins can actually manifest each other's physical pain.

The consensus of the community is "no, not in real life."

This doesn't sit well with icedmaple, who is a psychic and has proof that she found on the internet which consists entirely of personal anecdotes.

Then she has a little fit on her journal. Twice.

How dare you not delete her comments in order to prove that she's irrational? That's just mean, kutsuwamushi. >:(

who thinks it's been proven that telepathy cannot possibly exist and is incapable of actual debate.

I don't think anyone has ever tried to prove that telepathy is incapable of debate, actually. I think we all pretty much took that one for granted.

People in high school used to ask me if I could feel my twin bro's pain, but that was in jest.

Though maybe I don't count because we're fraternal and therefore not OMGSOFREAKISHLYCONNECTED?

The "has proof" link made me laugh out loud. xD

And I only had to ask the 8-ball once! The 8-ball is all-knowing.

Next time I want to seem like one of my pet hypotheses is correct, I will just say there have been studies and link to studies that completely refute my hypothesis.

See, there have been studies!!!11!11! Science takes us seriously!11!11!!!

What the fuck?

Thanks to this one, my new response whenever anyone disagrees with me for any reason is "Yeah, you probably believe in JESUS."

I hope one day they spontaneously combust, which would be delightfully ironic, because they probably don't believe in that, either.

That just made me laugh out loud. It's like the icing buttercream ICING on the crazycake.

I find it terribly ironic that she's got those Stan/Kyle icons, considering Matt and Trey are so skeptical that sometimes they spin right around and hit credulous (like in that alcoholism episode). Or did she forget to TiVo the "Psychics are liars!" episode ... AND the John Edward episode.
