The thing is that CAPSLOCK DENTIST was correct about using an autoclave and what settings an autoclave runs on- but I'm suspecting s/he's actually a lab tech, because any lab tech could tell you that (or heck, anyone who has had any lab classes) and I don't know any dentists who enjoy DragonballZ online handles, typing in all caps, and participating in internet flame wars all at the same time.

And autoclaves don't do anything against RNAse or prions, so they're not the be-all end-all of sterilization. *Wank/Teach*
