I have this problem with someone turning up the speed on the shaking incubator to the highest setting constantly, when the highest setting is way too high for normal bacterial incubation. I think they honestly don't know how to read the RPM dial and just think 'really fast is best, right?' You'd be [not] surprised by how many people set up centrifuges and gas tanks on that principal as well.

They don't even read the "DO NOT CHANGE" notes I stick on the control knob.
