More Halloween Costume Wank
School Boots Boy Over Jesus Costume

Principal says costume was offensive and disrupted education process:

"The principal of West Brook Middle School said that the boy was sent home because the costume was disruptive to other students. 'Children were [asking], where is the boy who is Jesus Christ?' principal Joan Broe told WCBS-TV. 'It was disrupting the education process.'"

"Alex said school officials told him the costume was 'offensive to some students.'"

Mum thinks her son's freedom of expression was violated:

"'I think the whole freedom of speech and expression has definitely had a damper put on it, and this is proof of that,' said Kim Woinski, Alex's mother."

And now the commenters have a wing at it! Osama bin laden, Mohammed, murderers, ghosts, and prostitutes included!

"Funny the kid is Jewish but dressed up as Jesus. Shouldn't offend anyone if he doesn't even believe Jesus was the Jewish Messiah. Society accepts ghosts, prostitutes, but not Jesus. No one even knows what Jesus looked like, so he was dressed as a Jewish male from around 30 A.D. So what. Silly school"

"Plansmaker ,YOU BELIEVE WHAT YOUR PASTOR TELLS YOU . YOU DONT HAVE A CLUE ABOUT JESUS"

"Little girls can dress up like *****, boys can dress up as murderers, and anything else they want to and it's okay with the schools, but if a boy dresses up as Jesus, the ax falls and he is sent home. What in the world has this country came to. Are we not a free nation or have we already lost all of our freedoms of speech. Geez, it was only a costume, I think the school should be put on notice that the people in that town are not going to tolerate this kind of treatment of their children."

"Jesus was not a prophet, he was known to be the son of God at the time that he walked on earth. He asked Peter who he was and Peter clearer stated that he was the son of God. There is no conspiracy, no scam. You either belive or you don't. Every person has to make a choice during thier life to either accept the truth or not."

"If he dressed as Osama Bin Laden I would understand it, but please. You overly religious bible bangers need to get a life ."

"Type your oJhd52541 no one knows what muhmad looks like.....he made sure he's image was distroyed so no one would worship him.... jesus is a joke.....heres the facts....1) jesus was A messiah not THE messiah, he preached jewish values not christan ones.... he was more like a guru...2)there are over 30 stories just like his around the same time ......3) saint peter who wrote the books on jesus lived a whole 50 to 60 years after his death.......And finally he's an idol and worshiping an idol is wrong.......suck on that you christan extremist your just as bad as jihadistwn comment here"

"If he had dressed up like Obama it would have been okay...even though he professes to be the Messiah!! Lives up to his color though...a lying, cheating piece of s---!!"

"I must agree, the costume is very offending. Here's why: "Not even near look like Jesus!!!" They should hang this kid for failing to do his homework of how Jesus would really looks like... I'm very ANGRY!!! This kid should be STONED to death for BLASPHEMY!!! LOL!!! He! He! He!"

"THIS SORT OF SATANIC DRIVEN DIS-RESPECT TOWARDS THE SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD WAS FORETOLD IN THE HOLY BIBLE BY THE LORD HIMSELF AND THE NEW TESTAMENT WRITERS AS ONE AMONG MANY SIGNS OF THE END TIMES -HERE COMES THE RAPTURE AND THESE UNSAVED FOOLS CAN GO THROUGH THE GREAT TRIBULATION WITH THE ANTI-CHRIST !!!"

This goes on for a while.

Needless to say Jesus was resurrected later on Halloween night to go trick or treating. Whoot!

I call bullshit, they can't have it both ways--so all of a sudden the word of a GAY Jewish man is TRUFAX.

Yes I have a free time today:

. the Jewish people gave Jesus up to be crucified on a cross by nailing his hands and feet and allowing him to die about as slow and misserable death as could be physically possible.

Why yes, we all did this personally. All of us are related to at least one of the Jews who dressed up like Romans and crucified this commentator's Lord.

It's kind of like a KKK member coming to a halloween party with black face, or a Nazi dressing like a concentration jew,

Wait...what are concentration Jews? Do I qualify as one since I was smart enough to get a college degree?

I don't see why the kid got booted, myself. I'm with the crowd that is scratching their heads as to why murderers and criminals are okay to dress up as but not a Biblical figure. It could very possibly be a Free Speech violation because the school is a government actor if it was a public school.

What's really amusing me about this is that one of my friends from HS came to school on Halloween dressed up as Jesus, crown of thorns and everything, and nobody cared.

I'm kind of bzuh over which side is actually being outraged here -- the Christians who are being outraged and persecuted because omg the evil athiests dissed their savior, and the athiests who are being outraged and persecuted because they can't even make light of a historical figure without the evil Christians wanking on them... Okay honestly I have no idea what people are getting upset about.

Ah, lol at the "lives up to his color" line. Stay classy, internet.

So one guy we we're not even sure existed said that another guy that we're not even sure existed was the son of God, and he said it about two thousand years ago. I have no idea why this is proof of anything.

The beardlings are not happy.

I wonder if they were asking during lunch time. IDK, in grade school everyone changed into their costumes just before lunch to keep from disrupting the class during the day, and after that it was all fun and games.

And the children were asking, where is the boy who is Jesus Christ? We have seen his controversy in the East and are come to go trick-or-treating with him.

And lo, the boy who is Jesus Christ and his followers went trick-or-treating, and received gifts of Butterfingers, Kit-Kat bars, and M and Ms. Plus some weird old guy who gave them myrrh.

And having been warned by the older kids not to go to Old Lady Murray's house, they got into their parents' cars and returned home by another way.

Wow, this is all it takes for people to scream that ZOMG TEH PERSECUTION OF CHRISTIANS IN RELEVATIONS IS UPON US!?!11?

Going by that logic, the great horrible end times for Christians will be people calling them stupid-heads and egging their cars and stealing candy from their children.

I went to a private Christian school for my elementary years (and then I listened to Marilyn Manson all through highschool. Go figure!), and... kids were actually ENCOURAGED to dress up as Biblical figures for Halloween, to put the ~faith~ back into such a ~pagan~ holiday or whatnot. Kids as Jesus were applauded. I don't get it, here.

At my old high school the seniors get to dress up for Halloween, and one year a kid went as Jesus for the exact same reasons as this kid did - he looked like him, and people mentioned it all the time. Needless to say he didn't win an award, but when he filed into the gym during the costume awards ceremony everyone started chanting "Jesus! Jesus!" It was awesome.

Dude, when kids ask where the guy with such-and-such costume is, all that means is he has a sweet costume. It happens every damn Halloween. "Where's the guy in the trashcan?" "Where's the kid dressed as Wario?" "Where are all those guys dressed as the monks from Monty Python?" Weak argument, school. Weak argument. (They'd probably have been better off just saying "some students and faculty members found it offensive" or bullshit like that.)

And that is a sweet Jesus costume. Dark-haired Jesus FTW!
