Sadly, I had a Ph.D. in psychology tell me that using "visage" was essentially arrogant and condescending. To this day, I have no idea why except for the part where he didn't know what it meant and couldn't work it out from context. (Seriously, don't ask me to edit and fix your sloppy grammar, word choice, and such if you don't expect me to use my vocabulary. Geez.)
