A rocket scientist over in [info]techsupport seems to think that Americans invented the English language and that people in the UK and Australia don't speak English.

Don't hate it, it's gorgeous. I was staying with a bunch of friends in a hotel room for a Xena convention, and the lady I was sharing a bed with was SO sweet, and she had that accent. I could have listened to it for hours, it was like caramel or something. But I'm Australian, so it's all different and romantic for me. LOL!

I have this odd hybrid accent, actually. Most all of my family was raised up north but we moved down south when I was still a baby. So I have a sorta northern accent from them with southern bits slipping in from the people around me.

I like... Pretty much every accent that's not American LOL. They all sound so nice.

I have a hint of what's called the Oregon Drawl (even though I never lived in any of the rural areas around here), and most people don't know that is so they think I'm a former Southerner.

It's very, very weird.

Heh, I grew up around the logging industry here, so I love the Oregon Drawl. It makes me think of flannel and red suspenders.
