Incoherency and Loathing in Customers_Suck
Small but fascinating for its brevity:

A story of apparently-bad service is posted in customers_suck -- "apparently" because the post is embarrassingly incoherent. People snark on about it.

I was sort of surprised this apparently isn't a troll. With that grammar...

Well, her LJ is supposedly friends-only, but there's no friends listed, and just a handful of communities ... and she says "comment and I'll add you" but there are no comments ... I call troll. And I shudder that she's apparently an inhabitant of my state. That was one of the most painful things I ever read. Brain hurty now.

What made me assume it wasn't a troll was the fact that a later comment in the thread mentions that she's commented and posted before more intelligently. Of course, that could just mean "troll with more setup" or "stupid, stupid commenter."

catsluvdmb: See, that would make sense, if you weren't also making mistakes in your comments. Thus, your discord falls apart. Also, I would think it would be more important to be grammar conscious in a community than in a personal journal. In a community, potentially hundreds of people are exposed to your writing and use this as a discourse to building an image of who you are. Therefore, if you write in a literate, educated fashion they will view you as cultivated and cognizant. If you don't write as such, well, then people won't view you as intelligent.

It might not be fair, but that's the way the language has worked since the dawn of its creation.
