Oh yes. I frequently announce That I am NOT a Dog Person... yet within minutes of my brother's dogs being in my presence, I am invariably carrying one around (likd a cat, mind). My family just smiles and nods. :)

Exactly, they latch on!

Somehow, it's always Large And Friendly dogs that decide my mom is their new best friend. Maybe they think they're able to convert you to dog-loving and away from your cat/other animal tendencies?
