Oh, agreed. Mine's an absolute champion in the "I see you have a sandwich" routine when I do my morning shopping at the bakery. Whoever sits outside for their breakfast will always, always share their breakfast with him and then I have to run out and explain that really, we do feed him, ignore the puppy eyes please. (this is him, by the way)

I do know better than to feed strangers' dogs, but I can see how it might be hard with him.

Brockie is the queen of that, too.

She'll come up to me when I know she's been fed, give me the Puppy Eyes (Westies, for the record, have the most beautiful eyes), and pretend she hasn't eaten in days.
