It's always about the cats and the dogs. This is totally discrimination, you guys!!! What about the chinchillas? Won't anyone think of the chinnies? They think of you, er, giving them raisins.

Lots of dried fruits are good for chinchilla treats. They love them.

Then again, my babies love anything they can steal from me. They'll grab a sample of my food and run away with it. >.>

Everyone seems to be cool with the totally biased rat and rodent-hatred too. The cutest, most sweetest little critters you can have for pets and yet nobody can look past the OMGPLAGUE!

Well, I love rodents as much as the next person who loves rodents (I've had over 20 gerbils in my life) but you have to admit most of them tend to smell like twelve kinds of pungent ass, no matter how much you love their stinky little selves.

...I miss that gerbil stink. ;_;

It's not so much plague as walking in on the utter carnage of unexpected babies ("two male gerbils" my ass) being chewed in half by their mother. That was a bit traumatizing for me at six years old. D:
