Some news show or another did testing on products like these and a lot of them had been tampered with (mostly watered down)so even though you think you're getting a good deal, you might actually be paying more per unit than if you just bought it at the salon.

Some news show or another: an unimpeachable source of information.

I want to make them all tin hats, but I don't think they'd wear them if they found out they weren't really made of tin. :(

By the by, am I the only person who hates the phrase "hair product"? I don't know why, but I feel like I didn't start hearing it until about eight years ago, and now I hear it all the time and it makes me rage a little inside.

Actually, I maybe do know why: it's so ambiguously unspecific.

It's like when on What Not To Wear, the hairdresser is all "now use this hair product every day like so and ta da" and I'm all "WHAT PRODUCT IS THIS? Is it gel? Is it mousse? Is it some bizarre combination of chocolate and pomegranate seeds in order to attract amourous bees?"


Also, I just don't like the way the word sounds.

I don't know. I don't think anyone knows exactly what the quality is. That's the problem. Even a $12 bottle of shampoo is way too much for me.

And yet she expects everyone to buy from the salon. Wow, someone has lost touch with reality here and it isn't the person asking about overstock shampoo.

Geeze, you'd think people would wake up to the fact hairdressers have to push their salon's hair products to increase sales. Do they honestly think the *insert brand here* product you buy at a salon is that much more superior to the cheaper equivalent you get in a supermarket?

I don't know about you all, but I never settle for anything less than PURE blood of the innocent in my shampooing products. Do you realize how HARD it is to find a salon that carries that? If you buy from anywhere else, you risk getting watered-down blood of the innocent instead.

I was at Lowes Foods today and in their amazing bargain corner were a ton of discounted Alba and Kiss my Face shampoos. If I hadn't just bought shampoo, I would have been all over that stuff. Clearly, I was saved since the cheap price would have made it automatically bad for my hair, right?
