Gee, this wank smells terrific
So, what do you think about "salon" shampoos that you buy from overstock stores?

They're evil and wrong. EVIL AND WRONG! DANGER WILL ROBINSON! THEY KILLED A MAN IN RENO JUST TO WATCH HIM DIE!

I used one of their shampoo bars, but stopped when it made my hair so squeaky clean it actually...erm...squeaked and I had to put conditioner in it to be able to draw a comb or brush through it.

I think the bars are wonderful if you've naturally slightly oily and thick hair, but I have very fine hair and a very dry scalp so they're not for me. Finding a shampoo that does not cause the Itch Of DoomTM is always a challenge.

I found a wonderful one after years of trying and then I moved to the UK, where they don't have it at all, so the hunt has begun again. I recently dyed my hair red again, and I'm having quite a bit of luck with Australian's Colour Mate. The conditioner I am not too keen on because it makes my hair feel flat and heavy.

(Mind you, pretty much any conditioner will do that to my hair and I tend to only use it in winter, because I really don't think the whole 'exploded dandelion' is a good look for me, you know?)

Lush shampoos do really seem to be a matter of finding the perfect one for your hair type, if it exists at all. I tried three different kinds and had given up, but then I had to buy some shampoo while I was in Japan, and Japanese shampoo -- yeah, exploded dandilion. So I went off to Lush and tried oooneee moooore time. I don't use the bars, though, I use one of the liquid shampoos. I have superfine fluffy hair, and I use (as previously mentioned) Big. It makes it fluffy, but in a good way!

(That being said, I'm sure there are hair types out there that Lush does not cater for. Nothing covers everything.)
