I actually think she looks nice.
bodymods is a community about piercings, tattoos, and other things people decorate their bodies with. It's a bit heavy on the snark at times - making a first post without tags will get you mocked by the mods, and new users are expected to lurk until they get a decent idea of what's allowed and what isn't. But generally it's a nice place to ask questions and share personal experience.

As it turns out, showing off your new piercing in your first post is not what the community is for. lunsanslautre does it anyway. She's told to maybe try that shit somewhere else. ZOMG OPPRESSION I'M LEAVING FOREVER! - THIS IS NOT MYSPACE, also, mod tags. - Everyone here is 15 and I'm a special snowflake! - But it's so myspacey. - Couldn't be more myspacey. - My spacey? - They aren't myspacey, I'm a photographic major. - STOP SAYING MYSPACEY.

We'll have a thread about guinea pigs instead! - No, guinea pigs are bad. :( - Fine, let's talk about how scene kids are oppressing me! - No they're not. - Okay, but I'm still going to cry about it. - We don't care. - I was joking. I don't care. This community is so cunty today.

Well, it's more like an overall feel than anything specific about them that makes me go "dang those were shopped." Like the first one, look at how smooth her skin is compared to the gritty texture of her hair, especially to the right (and there's a strand of hair, if you look close, it has a sort of halo to it along her neck that doesn't feel right). One of the blond strands to the left is oddly smooth, though, like viewed through a gauzy filter. Likewise, the whole photo has a fish-eye filter of sorts applied to it - see the corners where there's little curvy dark triangles? And the background feel really smoky, rather than just out of focus.

Then, in the last photo, it seems to have had the saturation upped and then an exposure filter added, especially compared to the middle three photos. Plus, it also has an oddly hazy background considering the all-over sharpness of her face and body and the distance of the camera from her face.

But, really, I can't say that it's definitely a set of photoshopped pictures, I just have a strong feeling that they are. I mean, I keep comparing the first and last with the fourth, which seems to be a cameraphone picture and untouched-up. I also recall my own experiments with photoshopping doll pictures to get the same sort of effect as in the first and last photos, with similar (though not as drastic) results.

Ah, I see what you mean! I sometimes make icons, so lightening and sharpening and stuff are kind of second nature to me, and I always forget that when people talk about Photoshopped photos they're not just talking about airbrushing things out and so on.

Yeah, definitely shopped. I mean, look at the multi-coloured eyes in the last one. I don't know whether she shopped anything to do with the piercings, though it kind of looks like she shopped away the red around the new one.
