J'accuse!
The 2008 Weblog voting is open now. But some people smell a rat - Cake Wrecks, a popular humor blog, is completely smashing the other blogs in the "Food" category. There is confusion! Bickering! Recriminations!

Ok, so mostly it's just one person who insists that he knows more about what's happening on the WBA servers than the admins and owners of the site do. Bonus that the owner of the site's husband is getting into the mix. There's also a post up on the blog about it, so I anticipate tons of indignant readers dogpiling on that thread.

I wish it were easier for people to sign up and comment there, because most of Cake Wrecks' readers aren't foodies, and the resulting clash between the actual food blogs' readers and them would be epic.

Yeah. Cake Wrecks is totally hilarious, but I kind of question its being in that category.

But foodie wank is always great. *thinks fondly on the great snickerdoodle muffin debale*

FWIW, Jen has spoken up about being in the wrong category as well, but was told that they couldn't change categories once the finalists had been chosen.
