joye's Gin Salad Dressing 4 tablespoons olive oil 1 tablespoon light-colored vinegar (I use white rice wine vinegar) 3 tablespoons gin 1 teaspoon yellow mustard seeds, crushed with the back of a spoon/mortar and pestle (or a pinch of dry mustard) 1 garlic clove, minced fine Mix it up, taste it, and add salt and pepper as need. Serve over your favorite greens (I like half butterleaf and half iceberg, plus a sliced up green onion). Top with stir-fried chicken and romano cheese and it's a lovely meal. Call it Asian fusion and charge twice as much! :3 It tastes different but if you don't know it's gin, you probably won't identify it. For this reason it can be fun to make people guess the secret ingredient, but obviously if you're going to surprise people, make sure these are people you know drink alcohol. Messing with someone's sobriety or personal beliefs is NOT good eats. Post a comment in response: |
