Did you know we're responsible for the fall of civilization?
So, New Yorker film critic David Denby wrote a book called Snark: It's Mean, It's Personal, and It's Ruining Our Conversation. Tell us how you really feel, David. Or even better - how about everyone else telling us how they really feel?

(NEWSFLASH: Keith Olbermann NOT snarky. Film at 11.)

Wait, wait, is he saying we don't get to have a release for our anguish? We should just suck it up and deal with how much the world is kicking us in the ass because anything else is just not nice?

Fuck you, asshole.

Did you miss the memo? Humor is now to be directed only down the chain of station and privilege, not up. Forms of humor, such as snark, which may be used to belittle one's betters are, as signs of inferiority and bitterness, to be eliminated entirely.

After all, it's dreadfully inconvenient to have to keep replacing one's monocle.
