Oh god, she's against it because it destroys the intrinsic nutritional quality of the butter? Like that "microwaved water kills plants" idiocy?

...Have we somehow gone back in time so microwaves are new and extremely scary technology?

No lie. A girl in my grad program wanted tea one day at school. She was so afraid of microwaves that she opted instead to heat water up on a hot plate...in the beaker that we use to measure various toxic chemicals.
