Alton Brown does what?!?!?
[info]angieobsessed would like us all to know that microwaving butter in order to melt it is a crime against humanity.

This has been a public service announcement.

Okay, wanking about Alton Brown's butter is all well and good, but I think we need to discuss a much more serious and pressing issue: Alton Brown doesn't know how to pronounce the Concord in Concord grapes.

Seriously! How can a food professional not know that! That dumb little kid for Welch's has been saying it right this whole time!

*pant* *pant* Okay, I feel better.

The same way President Bartlet used to say it (also wrong, except wronger because he had been the fricken governor of New Hampshire): like the French airplane, KON-KORD with two long Os and emphasis equally on both syllables.

Everybody knows it is actually KONG-kerd. (Or if you're from Boston, KONG-kid.)

I've been pronouncing it KON-KORD all this time too.

Learn something new everyday.
