Madame Defarge probably isn't welcome there EITHER
Ravelry: it's like Facebook! It's for knitters and crocheters! It hit the New York Observer! It spawns four pages of grudgewank! It's like a concentration camp, in a way!

Man, Jared usually looks a lot hotter in photos.

But... it's not really like Facebook at all. I'm not trying to be ZOMG ELITIST I LOVE RAVELRY, but it really has nothing in common with Facebook except that they are both on the internet and some people use them.

Reading through the dramz, it seems like that group was batshit and uncooperative and totally asking for it. Just sayin'.

These are the same people who have spent the past eight years insisting that any criticism of the president is near-treason, unpatriotic and giving comfort to the country's enemies, I'm guessing. Funny how quickly they change their tune.

Lord. I actually had to - not speak to someone after she was Born Again and went from moderate sensible repub to Christianist loonball. She turned into this nasty little passive-aggressive misogynist asshat with the same questionable grasp on history as the rest of 'em.

I admit to snickering when a history major anvilled her verbally and told her to stop making Republicans all look like fools because Bush was already doing a good job of that.

The weak grasp on history seems to be a common trait. The other day, I overheard someone blaming the current economic crisis on President Obama, which shows a breathtaking lack of even the slightest hint of current events.

Yeah, I loooove Ravelry, but I don't really use the social side., so I guess I miss pretty much all of the crazy. It's not Facebook, and I don't think it's intended to be Facebook.

I was a member of that group. Nice to see your true colors, Sara.
