Madame Defarge probably isn't welcome there EITHER
Ravelry: it's like Facebook! It's for knitters and crocheters! It hit the New York Observer! It spawns four pages of grudgewank! It's like a concentration camp, in a way!

Acrylic makes me twitch and it really does feel much worse than... anything. And it doesn't breath at all. There are a ton of other synthetic and non-wool natural fibers out there to be used. Nice wool isn't scratchy, but if the fibers are too short it can be, or it can just feel that way if you react to the lanolin (there are only some wools that I can wear next to my skin, but my skin's Sensitive Button is also totally unpredictable. Sometimes I can wear anything, and sometimes all I have to do is roll over in bed and I have a rash.)
