So, hourglasscreate makes a post to the cooking community which includes a recipe for "Easy Fettucine Alfredo" which she supposedly got off of a Campbell's Soup can. This does not go over well.

ETA: Aaaand the second link has gone bye-bye. Now how will I find a recipe for boiled water? ;_;

ANOTHER ETA: She's wanking it up again in a whole new post! This time, it's about "sloppy joes".

It's not wank for someone to say "hey, that's not X" when someone posts a recipe for X that is, you know, not actually X.

Alfredo has a technical definition, like many sauces. That's just the way it is. I can't post a recipe for bechamel that includes cream of mushroom soup, either, at least not if I don't want someone to point out that cream of mushroom soup doesn't go in bechamel.

Actually, I think "squabbling about precise definitions" is one of the basic categories of wank, isn't it?
