Do you have alfredo in a can? Well, let him out!
So, [info]hourglasscreate makes a post to the cooking community which includes a recipe for "Easy Fettucine Alfredo" which she supposedly got off of a Campbell's Soup can. This does not go over well.

ETA: Aaaand the second link has gone bye-bye. Now how will I find a recipe for boiled water? ;_;

ANOTHER ETA: She's wanking it up again in a whole new post! This time, it's about "sloppy joes".

I was already thinking about possibly making my favorite "just got home from a crappy night at work" recipe:

GHETTO GARLIC BREAD!

Take 1 slice of store-brand Italian bread (hey, my store brand has sesame seeds, unlike some name brands), and slather it with some butter-esque "spread" that comes from a tub. Sprinkle, also liberally, with garlic powder. Grab a big handful of store-brand shredded mozzarella or "Italian" cheese that was on sale (also better than many name brands I've tried, amazingly), dump in center of bread. Use fingers to spread it out.

Set directly on rack in toaster oven, toast on the upper edge of the "light" setting or until cheese is slightly browned on top. Ignore the fact that shredded cheese is dripping all over the bottom of the toaster oven. If necessary, remove batteries from kitchen smoke detector. (If you do this, remember to put them back in until the next time you make this dish!) Remove bread from oven with fingernails because you don't want to wait long enough for it to cool. Sprinkle with black pepper until your taste buds cringe just looking at it.

(But I am just food snobbish enough now that I grind the black pepper now instead of using a shaker. Eating this so often increased my tolerance of pepper until I could hardly taste the pre-ground stuff.)

My brother likes to spread a mix of cream cheese and a little (more) garlic on top of the store-bought bread, then heat it up in the oven. OMG SO GOOD.
