Save Spuds Mackenzie!!1!!
Soooo, a three year old kid broke out the Crayola washable markers and went to town on the family dog.

This being Cute Overload the response was immediate and predictable.

HORRIBLE PARENTING!

BAH! HORRIBLE CHILDFREE OVERREACTION!

YIKES! HORRIBLE THROW ON THAT COUCH!

Hey, I did that once too! Same age, even. 'Course, I also gave myself a haircut at the time, which led to probably the strangest looking chubby six year old girl with a bowl cut.

That seems to be the hair-cutting age. When I was that age, a classmate came to school with no eyebrows one day, because she had cut them off.

Man, that seems like it'd be a little harder to do than hair. I mean, you try hard enough, and safety scissors will eventually cut through hair - you pretty much have to get a razor to go after eyebrows.

A friend of mine got rid of one of her eyebrows once. But that was because it was finals week and she didn't pay attention to when to stop plucking. I have no idea how a six-year-old would manage it.

If you press the scissors right up against the brow bone, slightly-sharper-than-normal safety scissors will cut eyebrows.

I cut half of my eyebrow off when I was seven with the same pair of scissors my parents used to cut our toenails with. In retrospect, that's kind of disgusting, but I still think my mom was more terrified that kids will laugh at me in school because of my missing half-brow.

Haha, I did so too. I decided my bangs were too long and cut them off.

It looked VERY strange.

Well, I didn't have a pet and my brother's hair was too short, so I just had myself to experiment on.

A few days afterwards we had our photos taken in kindergarten. I learnt my lesson.

My parents also would have much preferred it if I had painted myself or a dog instead of the living room walls.

There are definitely a bunch of pictures of me from when I was six and decided to give my bangs a trim while I was in the middle of class. I also had really bad allergies at the time, so I had giant dark circles under my eyes all the time. Probably not one of my cuter phases.
