Same sex couples physically can’t have children, therefore, there is no point to the relationship.




Anti-gay ad in the Salt Lake Tribune is posted for discussino at KVNU’s For The People

The comments are a general chorus disgust at the content and making fun of the horrible design. Until "Kaye" chimes in, starting with "I’m straight but I have plenty of gay friends" and ending by bringing Hitler into it. After that it's non-stop fun. 


ETA: My mistake. This should be in [info]unfunnybusiness. 


ETA2: To clarify: Homophobia is not funny. People who invoke Godwin's should be mocked mercilessly.

I was going to make a comment about how unfunny this was, until I actually looked at the ad and saw it cite "The Homosexual Declaration of War," saying it was read in the House of Representatives 20+ years ago. WTF?

You've got an ETA planned with some quotes that are going to prove this whole "non-stop fun" theory of yours, right? Because right now all I'm seeing is some homophobia and some Hitler and some more homophobia, and that doesn't really make me want to scream HA HA HA SO FUNNY at my monitor, here. It makes me want to scream a lot of things, but HA HA HA SO FUNNY is not one of them.

Ah, yes, that cram-in-as-much-text-as-possible style of graphic "design"--it's the choice of frothing crackpots everywhere.

Of particular interest is that the image they chose to use is of a black man kissing a much smaller white man. So we've got a vomit-inducing anti-gay cocktail, with an extra shot of racism. LOVELY.
