The comments are a general chorus disgust at the content and making fun of the horrible design. Until "Kaye" chimes in, starting with "I’m straight but I have plenty of gay friends" and ending by bringing Hitler into it. After that it's non-stop fun.

ETA: My mistake. This should be in unfunnybusiness.

ETA2: To clarify: Homophobia is not funny. People who invoke Godwin's should be mocked mercilessly.

I cringe at having my work be associated with "Your point". Good FWers: I didn't mean to imply that homophobia is actually funny or that this didn't belong here, and I'm terribly disappointed that ignorant_bliss approves of me.

Homophobia: Still not fucking funny. And wank reports where the wanka can't even be assed to pull out a few quotes and relies on "NO! It's totally funny you just don't get it!": still not fucking funny either.

I'm sorry. Perhaps my point was misconstrued. The anti-gay ad: not funny. The comments to the add: funny. The comments re: Hitler: wtf? ridiculous and totally mockable because wtf!

I don't recall ever saying that any of it was hi-fucking-larious and certainly never said "NO! It's totally funny you just don't get it!" Also amended that it should have been posted in unfunnybusiness. Again, my bad.

And I did make at least a half-assed attempt at pointing out one kind of funny quote. *shrugs*

I've got a minute here, so I'll try to explain this to you.

At OTF_wank, there's a lot of stuff that could be funny in certain moods, but that we've sort of agreed is unfunny and so should go elsewhere. Things involving rampant misogyny, racism, and homophobia are some of them.

So when your report doesn't CLEARLY point out where the funny was supposed to be but just mentions it in a "half-assed" way, and DOES explain all the homophobia going on, many people got irritated and came to give you a smacking with the clue-by-four.

As far as I can see, your comment continues to be of the type "But that's not what I meant!" That's nice, but when the rest of us seem to have read it in a way other than what you meant, that's a good clue that you didn't word it well. And that you're continuing not to.

My advice would be to shut up and stop trying to defend yourself. I hope you've been around long enough to know that continuing to comment never works for the wanker: and I don't think it will work for you. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that maybe you just got caught up in replying and forgot that.

On the other hand, you could continue commenting, but that would be wanky. So.
