Olive to Wank
You guys like food wank right? How about some Olive Oil wank? That's what I call a well lubed wank.

lovethatlovage posts a picture of their stovetop on picturing food. sjaustin then comments on their olive oil storage method and it devolves. As if that's not fun enough, lovethatlovage then drags the issue over to stupid_free where sjaustin gets in the first comment. Calls of grudgewank ensue and people start discussing their favorite food wanks of the past.

What's your favorite/most delicious food wank?

Chicken fat FTW! I just made some GB&D potatoes the other day. It was nomlicious and I think I shall go heat up the leftovers for this wank.

*wavewavewave* Ooh! Ooh! Bacon fat makes awesome fried chicken.

I had to ask my husband, who was practically born with a skillet in his hand, about cooking oil and rancidity. I make a mean pork roast, but I know shite about cooking oils. Apparently, it's easy for even a dodo like me to know when it's even slightly off and we have a five-year-old bottle of olive oil that's still viable. I wouldn't eat it, but that's because its now mugwort oil.

Ooh me! We use it in making gravy or to add flavor to green beans :3

Yo. I figured out the secret to awesome hash browns for breakfast is to cook them after the bacon without draining the fat from the pan.

Now you're making me want to try my almost nonexistent cooking skills. :D I can fry an egg and even scramble one, but that's about it. Heh.

That's how I do the egg for a bacon and egg muffin!

I don't eat breakfast, but I found that if I take a few moments to saute vegetables in the pan with the leftover meat-based fat, it A) adds flavor to the vegetables and B) does most of the work of cleaning the pan for me.

I keep on trying to save the bacon fat for cooking ... but end up putting it on toast instead. Yeah, real healthy.

Okay, this may seem silly considering the wank... but what's the best way to store said bacon/chicken/duck/random meet fat for later use?

I keep animal fats in the fridge, but I understand a coffee can on the stove is traditional.
