Take me out to the ballgame so I can sue your ass.
Tony LaRussa is the manager of the St. Louis Cardinals, but not the Tony La Russa posting on twitter. So Tony is suing twitter "claiming an unauthorized page that used his name to make light of drunken driving and two Cardinals pitchers who died damaged his reputation and caused emotional distress."

He was found drunk and asleep behind the wheel of an SUV with its engine running. I don't think he needs help damaging his reputation. And his butthurt comes with lawyers.

I'm trying to imagine other managers' reactions to this kind of thing. Terry Francona would probably be very polite about it, but he's kind of the zen master of PR from dealing with Manny Ramirez for so long. Joe Torre would probably have it dealt with quickly and ruthlessly but never say anything about it himself. Jim Leland would rage epically. Others?

Charlie Manuel would bluster about it ineffectually, but never actually do anything.

Don Zimmer would launch a DDOS attack, then stand outside Starbucks waiting to throw rocks at anyone he suspected of Tweeting.

And I would still love him for it.

Are you kidding? Twitter is the perfect avenue for Francona to exposit his devastating attacks upon Dustin Pedroia in their deadly-serious games of cribbage! I am a little surprised there is no such Twitter parody already.

(Francona to the media: "Well, you guys told me there's something going on. I'll have my daughters look right into that, as soon as I figure out where their numbers are in my cell phone.")

He's such a doofus. I love him. It helps that he's a good manager too.

Mike Sciosa 's lips would disappear and he would turn magenta.

Lou Pinella would throw his keyboard.

Ned Yost would be all "wtf is this Tweeter?" (Yes, I know, he's unemployed, but it still stands.)
