As a slash fan and writer, I'd appreciate a bit more respect.
(This is maybe more [info]fandom_lounge-y, but most of the comments are fairly wanky.)

..you know, with little gems like "I guess, first of all, I wouldn't put anything past nerd-women who go to conventions and rub magical wizard staffs on each others' lady areas", I can't help but side with the angry slashers.

Yeah, if it wasn't for that one line my only reaction would be that the reviewer doth generalize too much. (One M/M book that sucks doesn't mean they all suck.)

But that sentence makes it obvious that ze is just out to mock a subculture.
