As a slash fan and writer, I'd appreciate a bit more respect.
(This is maybe more [info]fandom_lounge-y, but most of the comments are fairly wanky.)

Local rag reviews book, enrages slash fans.

Oh that's easy. The slashfans swallowed the mother whole when the mother was pregnant, and when the baby is ready it will burst out of their foreheads. The Greeks had this figured out centuries ago.
