Pet intelligence wank
The Guardian: Cats outsmarted in psychologist's test.

You can imagine how well this goes with the readers. Besides the predictable flood of pet owner butthurt and anecdotes of clever / stupid cats / dogs / mice / owls, there are plenty of genuinely funny comments as well as a side wank on the validity of test methods and statistics, obligatory calls to talk about world hunger instead or discuss the intelligence of various nationalities, and, naturally, Hitler and his pets make a bonus appearance. I think one could play classical wank bingo in here, but some of the stories make it all worthwhile.

Sadly, setting up highly arbitrary challenges and then declaring the subjects stupid or "differently thinking" if they don't perform as expected is perfectly good methology in the education system.

And it royally fucks subjects who managed to excel at the damn things because it's in no way reflective of actual challenges outside said education system. Subjects must "re-learn that fucking wheels should be round", as it were.

And never mind what teachers think about the whole mess. It's not like they have insight into how students learn best, or what goes on in a classroom, no, they are just scurred because tests make them accountable and if there were no tests, they would just have an excuse to be completely lazy and teach nothing of val. . . oh wait.
