00goddess is the mod of the polyamory community. She makes a post letting people know she changed the rules of the comm. However, she doesn't say what change she's made, or link to them. And no, I have no idea what the "ongoing problem" is, or the rule s/he changed.

Don't you just love it when things kick off in the first thread? Basically, people ask for a direct link. Now, let me just quote comments #3 and 4 from this thread, and I think we have everything we need to know:

In her personal journal, 00goddess confides to the masses that she's been contemplating deleting the comm. This thread...I don't even know what the fuck is going on here. Suffice it to say that both parties miss each others' points by miles and then there's butthurt for everyone!

Then it goes back to the community, with this post. I don't think I even need to tell you to scroll down for a good time.

I'm capping a bit but I don't have time to grab all the comments before work. I heartily encourage any wankas with time on their hands to archive this for posterity, however!

Which "don't nitpick" in a comm full of introverted-analytical people would definitely qualify as, since it's vague and can be used as a pretext for banning anybody who questions anything ever.

I saw something similarly vague and mod-mad done in a Pagan comm (by someone who was best-wanking-buddies with 00goddess for a while there, and then had a falling out with her), and most of the active, interesting posters immediately left the comm and it never did recover. (And judging from how infrequently posts pop up in the comm most everyone left for, I'm not sure LJ Pagandom itself ever quite recovered from that, unless people simply decamped for something off-LJ that I'm not aware of). I suspect a lot of the discussion now is in private LJs, and I think the community as a whole is infinitely poorer for that.

I'll never understand mods who want to delete a comm or kick out most of the members simply because they're sick of dealing with it-- why lose years and years of archived posts simply because it's too annoying for you? Just stop being a jerk and step out and let someone else do it.
