Fact of the matter is, writing a novel in 3 days (a novel being described as 75k to 140k words) is not unheard of and is actually a pretty common thing for professional authors to do.

This is OT but that was another comment in the thread. Commenters like that and this plagiarizing idiot are why I both love and hate the folks that come out for these sort of writerly events.
