Wind; hear my cry!
Over on lj on [info]nonwiccanwitch a user asks At what point does "support" become "fostering delusions?>

The focus of the discussion quickly turns to whether or not one can control the weather.

Call me delusional, if you want to. I've seen folks control the weather

And as it turns out someone in a (now deleted, sadly) post thinks they can control the weather.

Is it okay to tell your children you can control the weather?

Maybe its just me, but this whole thing makes me want to go watch X-Men.

There should be whole religions built around the lighting of a cigarette. It's the best way for your ride to show up, be it a friend or public transit. It can make it rain, or make the wind pick up - it will almost always make the wind change direction (you only thought you were standing downwind of those people who are now hacking and coughing at you!).

I once found my mom at an event by lighting up. I hadn't explained to her yet that I'd started smoking.

At least it's not just me this happens to. Though I can also add going to a restaurant that's packed to a waiting line, moment I step out and light up enough for a puff, that's when I'm getting the yell to come back in the table's open.
