Wind; hear my cry!
Over on lj on [info]nonwiccanwitch a user asks At what point does "support" become "fostering delusions?>

The focus of the discussion quickly turns to whether or not one can control the weather.

Call me delusional, if you want to. I've seen folks control the weather

And as it turns out someone in a (now deleted, sadly) post thinks they can control the weather.

Is it okay to tell your children you can control the weather?

Maybe its just me, but this whole thing makes me want to go watch X-Men.

I used to be able to control the weather. True story: When I was 11, I could make it snow by playing "Reach For The Light" on my Balto CD. Which I did. Repeatedly. My childhood obsession with that movie in fact caused the blizzard of '96.

And now you all know the truth. It was me. It was all me. I am mighty.

I think you are my God. I moved from California to Maryland the summer of '95. The blizzard of '96 was the first time I had ever really seen snow, and I was just completely blown away. Of course, I was also set up for disappointment ever winter thereafter...
