So. Much. Stupid.
This guy is campaigning for his LEGITIMATE RIGHT to send text messages during class, over the protests of his "tyrannical" professors. There is tremendous wanking, scroll to any random point on the page and you will find some. Be warned, when you stare into the stupid, the stupid, entitled fuckwad stares into you.

I remember being quite embarrassed when I was in this huuuuge lecture hall and I figured I'd sit in the front so I wouldn't be tempted to sleep.

Guess what, halfway through the class my eyes flip open and I'm thinking "Oh crap" D:

Yeah, that was FML that day.

I fell asleep in the front row of my intro to biology class way back when I was a freshman. I felt really bad for it, but when I apologized to my professor for it, she was cool with it.

I have SAD, which explains my tendency to be fatigued and/or tired during this time of year, but it didn't really excuse me for sleeping in the front row.

I fall asleep in class a lot, and unfortunately in 20-person classes, there is nowhere to hide D:

Hat! I had my sleepy hat. It is a newsboy kind of cap, and it's a bit too big for me, so it has a tendancy to slip down to rest on top of my glasses, which means that nobody can see my eyes. It does this even when I'm not napping, but I'd just wear that on sleepy days and sorta doze in the back of the room. Nobody ever noticed. ^_^

I seem to be sleep from 1-3 PM. It's really hard for me to stay awake those times. I even dozed off once in band practice, leaning against my instrument. I fight it, so you can see my head jerking up and down. Only one professor ever mentioned it.

I did have some students sleep in my sections - I tended to ask them if they were OK, just in case.

Lecture classes were particularly bad for me for dozing off. I never had any problem staying awake in classes where there was some kind of interactive participation going on, but in lectures? Not so good.

I fell asleep once during an intern education thing that me and another student were attending as part of a student placement. Tiny room, about 20 people - all of them more senior than me - all of us sitting around a table, lecturer sitting basically right across from me. Nobody said anything to me at all, but gosh, did I feel terrible about it afterwards!

So, y'know, don't feel too bad - you're not alone. ;)

It didn't help that the class was at 8:30 in the morning, and it was a calculus class. XD

Oooh, ouch. Mine was how to read an ECG and it was in the middle of the afternoon, but I hadn't slept well the night before and the lecturer had a really soothing voice, so... :P
