This guy is campaigning for his LEGITIMATE RIGHT to send text messages during class, over the protests of his "tyrannical" professors. There is tremendous wanking, scroll to any random point on the page and you will find some. Be warned, when you stare into the stupid, the stupid, entitled fuckwad stares into you.

Sheesh, your last paragraph happened to me too, and it was absolutely mortifying. I could have sworn I had turned my phone off, but obviously I didn't. Luckily the teacher seemed more amused than irritated, although he did insist on talking to the person calling me (it was my mother).

Another time my dad's cell phone went off in a theater just as a movie was starting. It turned out that it was actually his phone alarm; he had set the ringer on vibrate, but apparently the alarm isn't included in the vibrate setting. (The alarm was to remind my dad to take his pills.) Anyway, that was equally mortifying. Although, if I may bitch for a second - There were people sitting directly behind us, who could plainly see that my dad was scrambling to find his phone and turn it off, and they decided to be funny and obnoxiously whisper-shout, "SHHHH!" at us. I wanted to smack them - I mean, yes, people who think the rules don't apply to them are annoying as hell. But accidents happen. I don't think that my dad was trying to be a dick.

The above embarrassing incident was probably my punishment for choosing to watch Did You Hear About the Morgans.
