Original poster: Despite being horribly overweight, my friend is a very good artist!
EGL Community: WTF?
OP's friend: It's a joke; I think it's funny!

that community is so incredibly wanky. always fighting about the most retarded things. i'm surprised this is the first time it's been mentioned. but i do think that vebelfeltzer girl is arrogant, rude, and insistent that anybody who doesn't like the nabokovian element with their EGL is a wrong japanophile who OBVIOUSLY doesn't know anything about the culture. choosing not to include the sensuality and denying its existence are different matters.

but, um. oh, well.

i think what she said at that point was pretty obnoxious. you need to be under a certain weight to possess talent? being overweight is somehow a preventative factor in being credited with artistic talent? i think those that argued with her were right.

i'm expecting another wave of melodramatic "GOODBYE, I'M LEAVING, YOU GUYS ARE SOOOO MEAN" posts with the comments disabled to flood my friends page momentarily. at least that community finally has mods.
x.x
